This posts offers the opportunity to work across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, providing scope to develop excellence in academic practice. To support and enable our staff to achieve a balance between work and their personal lives, we will consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
We have strong established relationships with our NHS Trust partners, including two University NHS Trusts, and will consider fractional posts where we can establish joint posts with our Trust partners.
We are known for having a solid commitment to supporting and investing in research development and its fusion with education and professional practice, committed to developing your academic career. Our University offers excellent staff development opportunities including the Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and PhD/research options, with alignment to our Research Centres.
About You
As an expert in your field, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our nursing programmes. Your experience in education (from a University or clinical base) and innovation will set you aside from the rest. You will be able to demonstrate an established contribution to professional practice through engagement and leadership.
Our Department has a growing team of staff who combine their academic role with clinical practice, and we are keen to engage in clinical-academic development and explore the combination of fractional posts with clinical work, with your existing employer.
A key attribute will be your ability to work flexibly across our undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes (pre-registration and CPD), where your insight into contemporary practice (clinical or educational), will enhance student experience and learning.
You will be a highly motivated individual who brings strength in education and practice, and who is looking to develop or exercise their research expertise. For most posts, we offer a structured opportunity to enable you to develop research skills through doctoral studies and we will support you to obtain a relevant Doctorate within an agreed timescale.
Above all, we are looking for people who share our passion for high quality nursing education and have a strong vision for how the integration of education, practice and research can transform health care. If this is you, we would be pleased to hear from you.
