About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Admissions Data & Systems Improvement Manager to join our central Admissions team within Academic Services. As part of the Admissions leadership team, this role plays a key part in delivering a high-quality, efficient and responsive admissions service by leading the development and optimisation of admissions systems and data reporting.

The post-holder will take a lead role in enhancing admissions technologies, systems integrations and reporting capabilities, ensuring that systems and data effectively support the University’s student recruitment strategy and operational objectives. Working closely with the Head of Admissions, Admissions Managers and colleagues across the University, the role will drive improvements in system functionality, automation, data quality and insight across the admissions lifecycle.

You will work collaboratively with teams across Academic Services, IT, Planning, Marketing & Communications and Global Engagement to develop robust reporting, dashboards and analytical tools that provide meaningful insight into application trends, conversion performance and operational activity. The role also involves identifying opportunities to improve processes through the effective use of technology and data, supporting continuous service improvement and innovation.

About the department

The Admissions team sits within Academic Services and plays a central role in supporting the University’s student recruitment and admissions activity. As the University’s central Admissions department, the team is responsible for the processing and assessment of applications across undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes for both UK and international applicants.

Working closely with academic departments, professional services and external partners, the team ensures that applications are managed efficiently, fairly and in line with institutional policies and sector regulations. The department supports applicants throughout the admissions process, from application through to enrolment ready, providing a high-quality service and ensuring a positive experience for prospective students.

The Admissions team operates in a dynamic and collaborative environment, responding to a high volume of applications each year and adapting to developments in the higher education sector. The work of the department is critical in enabling the University to attract and enrol talented students from a diverse range of backgrounds around the world.
