The Business Systems team at Bournemouth University are responsible for the configuration and support of a number of the universities critical systems, including the Student Administration System (SITS) and the IT Service Management System (Hornbill). The team collaborate with project teams, IT colleagues, key business stakeholders and 3rd party software suppliers to implement, update, develop and troubleshoot those systems.
The team are looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst, to take the lead in maintaining our ITSM system.
The role:
- Will be the primary contact for all interactions with the third party supplier - Hornbill and key business stakeholders.
- Will agree workload priorities and scheduling in discussion with the Business Systems Specialist.
- Is offered for a 12 month period, as cover for a staff secondment to our Case & Enquiry Management System project.
- Available on a hybrid basis – requiring a minimum average on-site attendance of 40% a week.
As a member of the team, you will contribute through all stages of the development life cycle, encompassing analysis, design, development, testing, implementation. and support You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail. You will also be adept at diagnosing and resolving faults to maintain service stability.
You will be dynamic, driven, work to high standards and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues. You must have experience of working successfully in a similar role.
