About the role

The Media School at Bournemouth University is seeking to recruit three full-time Demonstrators in Media Production. The School is one of the largest and most highly-recognised centres for educating future media professionals across the Film, High-End TV, Creative Media, Online Broadcasting, Radio and Podcasting, Advertising, Journalism and Events sectors.

You will be based at the University’s Talbot Campus, which houses our industry-level production and post production facilities, including three multicamera television studios, sound-stage, radio and podcasting studios, edit and finishing suites, music and sound production studios and advanced digital creative labs.

We are seeking candidates with skills in one or more of the following areas: Camera and Lighting for Film and Television; Multicamera and Live Production; Post Production for Film and Television; Digital Creative Production. An enthusiasm for and experience of working with emerging technologies and processes such as AI, VR/AR/XR, Virtual Production, large data collection and analysis is desirable.

The ideal candidates will have teaching experience, and relevant experience in an appropriate media profession is also of benefit.

Our Demonstrators are not only committed to outstanding student education, experience and employability, but also to working with both commercial and community partners and clients in offering and supporting services, skills and events throughout the year, occasionally involving weekend and evening work.

You will also support our Academic teams across the Faculty of Media and Communication and other services of the University in delivering outstanding education and experiences to all of our stakeholders.
