As
a member of the CareersBU team you will contribute to the development of a
learning community which is inclusive of students, graduates, academics and
external stakeholders. You will provide one-to-one guidance to students and
graduates, and design and deliver innovative and impactful learning and career
development opportunities, such as webinars, workshops, panel events and
networking events. You will work with academic colleagues to integrate
employability into the curriculum and provide expert consultancy based on
labour market information and graduate outcomes data.
We
are looking for a highly motivated individual who is skilled in offering
careers education, information, advice and guidance. You will need to
demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong and
impactful relationships with students, university staff and external
stakeholders. You will have an innovative and creative approach to careers
guidance delivery along with highly developed presentation and group working
skills which maximise student engagement.
You
will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and have or be working towards
a recognised Diploma in Career Guidance, or equivalent recognised guidance
qualification. Ideally you will have experience of providing advice and
guidance within a higher education environment, although this is not essential.
