About the Role 

We are seeking an Applied Scientist to lead research and development at the intersection of AI, data science, and optimisation. Whilst you will be employed by the University, you will be embedded on a full-time secondment into within Nourish Care, offering you a unique opportunity to conduct research that directly shapes commercial outcomes. Nourish Care is a fast growing, UK technology company developing and providing innovating, market-leading digital health and care management software platforms.  

To support your professional development, you will get access to one of the UK’s top leadership and management training programmes at Ashorn Hill - a renowned institution used by global corporations to develop their future business leaders. You will also be supported by a highly experienced research team, with a track record for working alongside industry on similar projects across multiple sectors, as well as getting support from senior personnel at Nourish Care.

Your Profile: 

  • Strong background in AI/ML and optimisation.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML libraries.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt. 
  • Experience with commercial platforms would be advantageous.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. 
  • Good project management skills and the ability to navigate technical and resource challenges.

You’ll be employed by Bournemouth University but will primarily work within Nourish Care Systems in

This role is available fixed term for a period of 26 months.
