About the role

Working within the Student Recruitment, Outreach & Events team in the Marketing & Communications (M&C) Directorate, the post-holder is responsible for the planning, organisation and promotion of a range of events, including those that support the University’s recruitment and conversion objectives.

Under the direction of the Event Manager(s), and working with colleagues across the University, the post-holder  will be responsible for the successful planning and delivery of individual events, including open days, awards evenings and the University’s annual Graduation Ceremonies. The post-holder will also be responsible for facilitating external events that offer income-generating or reputational value.

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY STAFF AND AGENCY STAFF CURRENTLY WORKING AT BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY ONLY.

This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’sPoints Based System.  Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position. About the department

Our Marketing & Communications department is made up of experts in student recruitment, design, digital, PR, market research and more, all of whom work to support BU’s strategic plan.  We work with senior stakeholders to influence recruitment targets and support the university in shaping our portfolio to optimise recruitment.  We embed effective internal communications activity throughout the University to ensure academic and professional services staff are well equipped and informed.
