Bournemouth University is entering a defining phase in its evolution.
With a new institutional strategy – BU2035, renewed ambition and a clear focus on our future impact, we are reshaping how we engage with students, staff, partners and communities. This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of the institution, partnering with senior leaders to turn strategy into action and ensure that complex, organisation-wide change delivers real and lasting impact.
We are now seeking an exceptional Head of Strategic Change to play a pivotal role in delivering this ambition.

Someone who understands what good looks like across the higher education sector, who can cut through complexity, and who is energised by the opportunity to lead the delivery arm of our new strategy.
You will operate as a trusted adviser to the executive, with the credibility and insight to challenge constructively and the pragmatism to deliver results.
You will bring:
- Significant experience leading complex change in large, mission-driven organisations
- A strong track record of delivering transformation at pace, across multiple stakeholders
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to bring people with you
- Strategic thinking combined with practical execution
- Resilience, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to positive organisational change
Key Responsibilities:
- Build out and upskill the strategic change team to have the right level of capacity and capability
- Lead the portfolio management of the strategic change initiatives
- Ensure effective delivery through good governance and effective decision making
