About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Admissions Manager (International) to join our Admissions team within Academic Services. As part of the Admissions leadership team, this role is responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of admissions for international applicants and ensuring a high-quality, efficient and responsive service.

The postholder will lead the International Admissions team, managing the assessment and processing of applications and ensuring decisions are made fairly, accurately and in line with University policies and sector regulations. The role supports the University’s international recruitment ambitions by ensuring that admissions processes effectively support applicants from a diverse range of global markets.

Working closely with the Head of Admissions and colleagues across academic departments and professional services, the Admissions Manager will provide expert advice on international admissions processes, requirements and compliance considerations. The role also contributes to service development, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and ensuring the admissions service continues to meet the needs of applicants and the University.

This role would suit a confident leader with strong operational and stakeholder management skills who is passionate about delivering an excellent admissions service and supporting the University’s international student recruitment objectives.

About the department

The Admissions team is part of Academic Services and is responsible for processing and assessment of applications across undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes for both UK and international applicants.

Working closely with academic departments, professional services and external partners, the team ensures that applications are managed efficiently, fairly and in line with institutional policies and sector regulations. The department supports applicants throughout the admissions process, from application through to enrolment ready, providing a high-quality service and ensuring a positive experience for prospective students.

The Admissions team operates in a dynamic and collaborative environment, adapting to developments in the higher education sector. The work of the department is critical in enabling the University to attract and enrol talented students from a diverse range of backgrounds around the world.
