About the role
This a senior leadership role responsible for driving the University’s strategic ambitions through impactful marketing, brand development and sustainable student recruitment growth. The role oversees branding, digital channels, creative content, market insight and marketing operations, while leading innovation in data-driven and AI-enabled marketing across UK and international markets.
Working closely with the Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Communications, the postholder will lead the creation and delivery of insight-led, measurable marketing strategies that enhance reputation, grow recruitment pipelines and support wider income-generating objectives.
About the person
You will be an experienced and strategic marketing leader with a strong track record of delivering successful brand and recruitment campaigns in a complex organisation. You will bring expertise in digital marketing, market insight, campaign planning and performance measurement, with the ability to use data and emerging technologies to drive results.
A confident people leader, you will be skilled at managing change, developing high-performing teams and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Commercially aware, creative and forward-thinking, you will be motivated by delivering measurable impact in a fast-changing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build the marketing engine that drives Bournemouth University’s growth, reputation and future impact.
- Lead an insight-driven transformation of our website and technology platforms to improve how we attract and engage with our audiences.
- Act as a senior custodian of the University’s brand to ensure consistent adoption and use across all channels, enabling a professional and confident workforce.
