About the role

We are seeking a motivated and organised professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join the team as a Faculty Operations Administrator. The successful candidate will have experience of financial processes including purchasing, expense reimbursement and payment of hourly paid staff. You will be numerate with experience of using financial IT systems and will be capable of both effective teamwork and independent working. The Faculty Operations Service is a busy team with many competing demands, the post holder will therefore require good time management skills and be effective in prioritising tasks, whilst maintaining a good working relationship with colleagues.

About the department

Directly supporting the three academic Faculties, the Faculty Operating Service (FOS) plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration between faculties, other Professional Services and the broader BU community. The FOS maintains a strong compliance and governance and delivering an exceptional student experience through continuous service improvements, efficient processes, and effective communication. As a key member of the Operations Support Team, you will support and enhance the academic environment by providing operational expertise, guidance, and services to staff, students, and PGRs, ensuring alignment with BU's strategic objectives.
