Bournemouth University is in an exciting period in its development as an innovative institution committed to academic excellence. We have set in motion an ambitious plan that will support the development of high-quality academic programmes and build on areas of academic strength and potential. The Media School is an inspiring new entity that brings together academics in the fields of Corporate and Marketing Communication, Journalism, Film & TV, Media and Music Production.
The ideal candidate would have evidence of industry experience at a high level combined with previous experience of teaching at HE level in both theoretical and practical contexts. We are looking for somebody to primarily contribute to teaching on the BA Music and Sound Production Degree, with expertise in music production within a DAW, the recording studio and/or live sound. The role sits within the wider Media School, so the ability to teach wider audio workflows such as audio for film, TV or media would be an advantage. You will be an enthusiastic, highly skilled professional with excellent communication skills, and be committed to providing an excellent experience for our students.
The university has a range of amazing facilities housed within the Poole Gateway building & Weymouth House, including SSL Recording studios, Live rooms, TV studios, Podcast Studios, Sound Stage, Green screen room, Screening rooms and multichannel audio spaces.
