SportBU is looking for two reliable, customer‑focused Duty Supervisors to help run our busy university sports facilities. Working on a rotating shift pattern, you’ll oversee daily operations, support the Duty Manager, and make sure our facilities are safe, clean and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee SportBU facilities on shift, ensuring safety, cleanliness and smooth operation.
• Support daily tasks, including reception and cleaning duties when required.
• Supervise and motivate part‑time sports assistants to deliver excellent customer service.
• Prepare and reinstate facilities and equipment for programmed activities.
• Monitor health & safety and handle emergencies according to BU guidelines.
• Complete regular building checks and report maintenance issues.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and resolve queries quickly.
• Deliver tours and promote SportBU gym memberships.
• Support marketing activity and explore new business opportunities.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the leisure management booking and POS systems.
• Assist with university events (e.g., Open Days, Freshers).
• Contribute to BU2035 aims by supporting student experience and operational efficiency.

• Able to work independently and take responsibility for the facility during shifts.
• Strong communicator with a positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude.
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends and a rotating shift pattern.
